The keys to successful architectures for products like these are (1) taking advantage of the distinct strengths of each of the foundation technologies used to build the product; and (2) carefully leveraging emerging platform products that have been purpose built to enable SaaS solutions.In addition to the technical architecture, there’s a significant business process architecture that potential SaaS providers have to define in order to be successful. Effective SaaS requires processes for onboarding clients and managing client users, provisioning resources, quantifying and billing for service usage, etc. Our senior consultants have been with organizations that have developed these processes, and can share their experience with our clients, as they implement such solutions.
