Java Process Architect

EC Wise is looking for a Java Architect with expertise in designing and leading the implementation of java based business integration process management systems. In this role you will lead the design of a services platform based on the Apache ServiceMix/Fuse stack, which will use jBPM as a process engine, and you will map new services and functionality onto this platform. Responsibilities

• Define platform architecture and specify reference and model components for implementation within the architecture
• Implement archetype components for development team to follow
• Design and develop stable high performance, scalable software products and derivative applications
• Analyze existing codebases and recommend refactorings and optimizations to enhance stability and maintainability
• Serve as liason between Client and development team
• Prepare and deliver presentations on development best practices to development teams and Client personnel

Technical Background

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, EE, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience as a team lead or architect
• 10+ years of server side Java software development
• Experience building commercial or commercial quality systems with 24x7 operation characteristics
• Direct development experience integrating services with ESB (Servicemix/Fuse), JMS, and Web Services technologies
• Experience implementing java applications using OSGi technology
• Experience with Business Process Management (BPM), Workflow engines and related technology (specific jBPM implementation experience a plus) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Deep awareness that technology developed must solve concrete business problems
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A team player capable of leading and inspiring others
• Ability to work effectively with off-shore development team
• Consulting experience, sensitivity to working with Client management and technical personnel
• Ability to identify and apply "Best Practices" in software engineering
